Project

La Vella comes from the name of the farm La Venta Vella. This Jan 4 hectares of vineyards between 45 and 56 years old comprised of 80% merseguera and 20% malvesía. This proportion of grapes is the one that also contains the Vella wine. The type of soil is white albariza that maintains a lot of freshness during the summer and withstands acidity very well. It is located in the highest part of the town right on the side of the mountain between ravines at 600 meters high. At the same time, the word VELLA in Valencian means OLD, so the oldest white grapes in the area are precisely Merseguera and Malvesía.
