Project

Inspired by the poem “L’Empordà” by Joan Maragall, one of the most universal poets in Catalan literature, the legend of a mermaid (represents the sea) and a shepherd (represents the mountains), we present this new wine from Empordàlia: Ençà, meaning hence. “La sirena se feu un xic ençà i un xic ençà el pastor de la muntanya” The mermaid went a short way hence (ençà) and a short way hence (ençà) came the shepherd from the mountains” – Joan Maragall

Tasting Notes

Red wine boasts an intense cherry red color and aromas of black fruit, such as blackberries and plums, along with a final touch of licorice and coffee. On the palate, the wine is well-structured and round.
