Vinicola de Bráfim (Padró)
The Padró family is especially proud of this wine because it was their very first DO Tarragona label, Crinel. Crin in Catalan is the mane of a horse and the brand name was inspired by the beautiful SLOW horses that roam freely on land adjacent to the family vineyards in the hamlet of Vilardida very near the winery. The brand has now been given a new look and the horse’s head of the original label is long gone, however, the curls of its beautiful mane are still there, if you look carefully, whilst the natural environment enjoyed by SLOW horses everywhere as well as the mystique surrounding them is reflected in words: negre de l’alba – dawn red.
